Interacting with audiences- Radio 1
Radio 1 allows its listeners to interact and get involved with the shows in different ways; there is currently losts of emphasis on listeners to give money and get involved for red nose day- fundraising e.c.t., with Fearne Cotton fronting the campaign, who would appeal to younger demographs. There are also chances for listeners to vote for their favourite bands for this years BRIT awards, letting them interact with the awards and allowing them to vote for their favouritye artists. There are also permenant icons on the Radio1 webpage which allows the viewer to download podcasts onto their MP3 player and text in numbers for songs they wish to be played. There is also a hyperlink called 'interactive t.v' which allows listeners to listen to the radio via internet. There are many ways which viewers can interact and enable their thoughts to put on the show.
